Upper Macungie Firefighters Provide Mutual Aid During Allentown 3rd Alarm Fire |

| On Tuesday, Upper Macungie Township Fire & Rescue responded to a mutual aid request from the City of Allentown during a significant three-alarm structure fire. Rescue Engine 56 and Rescue 25 were dispatched to stand by in Allentown while city crews battled the fire. While staged for coverage, Rescue Engine 56 was later requested to respond directly to the scene. Once on site, Upper Macungie firefighters assisted with overhaul operations—helping to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and preventing any possible rekindling. “This type of mutual aid exemplifies the strength of our regional partnerships,” said a department official. “We’re proud to support our neighboring departments when they need it, just as they support us.” While some members were assisting in Allentown, other Upper Macungie firefighters remained in the township, prepared to respond to any additional calls for service—ensuring continued protection for local residents.
